If you are trying to figure out where to take your little ones this fall, I have done the homework for you. Below you will find every fall and Halloween event I could track down in Brevard County for 2026, with dates, times, addresses, and costs. Most of them are free, which your wallet will appreciate.

I am going to brag a little here, because this one is ours. Year seven of our community Trunk or Treat is coming up, and every year it gets a little bigger and a lot more fun.

  • Date and time: Friday, October 23, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Location: Wickham Park Main Pavilion, 2500 Parkway Dr, Melbourne, FL 32935
  • Cost: Free (pre-registration is required on Eventbrite)

Here is what your family can expect:

  • Trunk-or-treating with decorated trunks and plenty of candy
  • A live DJ from Space Coast Elite Entertainment
  • Bounce houses and Face Painting from Bounce Around Brevard
  • A toddler activity zone from Wee Warriors for the little ones
  • A ninja warrior course from Lil Ninjas and an obstacle course from Stumbling Fun
  • A multi-category costume contest
  • Food trucks, so dinner is handled
  • Raffles that benefit Brevard County Foster and Adoptive Parent Agency.

We are also accepting non-perishable food donations at the entrance for the Space Coast Brigade of Hope. If you can toss a few cans in your bag, you will be helping a neighbor in a real way.

Please remember that registration is required, so grab your spot on Eventbrite before you head out the door that evening. Spaces tend to go quickly.

Boo at the Zoo at Brevard Zoo (Every Weekend in October)

If you want a Halloween outing that stretches across the whole month, Boo at the Zoo is a great pick. It runs on Saturdays and Sundays from October 3 through October 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Expect trick-or-treating stations, special animal encounters, festive photo backdrops, and live family performances. It is a daytime event, which is a big win if your kids melt down after dark.

  • Location: Brevard Zoo, 8225 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32940
  • Cost: Included with regular admission. Prices are about $25.95 for adults and $16.95 for kids ages 3 to 11. Kids under 3 are free.

Zoo prices can change, so double check the Brevard Zoo website before you go.

Boo at the Zoo: Sensory Night

This one deserves its own spotlight. On Saturday, October 17, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the zoo hosts a calmer, sensory-friendly evening for guests with exceptionalities and their families. You will find low-sensory trick-or-treating, games, and activities.

The cost is $7.00 per person. For families who often skip busy holiday events because of noise and crowds, this is a relaxed way to join in.

Saturday, October 17: A Busy Day of Fall Fun

This is the first big Saturday of the season, with four events to choose from.

  • Parker Foundation Fall Expo (8:00 AM to 10:30 AM): An inclusive morning of family-focused fall fun hosted by the Parker Foundation for Autism Child Development at Space Coast Field of Dreams, 150 W University Blvd, Melbourne. Free.

  • Surfside Community Fellowship Fall Festival (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM): At 1640 Minnie St, Cocoa. You will find trunk-or-treating, carnival games, inflatable slides, bounce houses, and free hot dogs, snacks, and drinks. Free dinner for the kids? Yes, please.

  • Rockledge Presbyterian Fall Festival (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM): A costume-friendly festival in and around their historic riverfront facility at 921 Rockledge Dr, Rockledge. Free.

  • Boo at the Zoo: Sensory Night (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM): Covered above. $7 per person.

Because the Parker Foundation Fall Expo wraps up before lunch, you could easily start your day there and still make an evening festival in Cocoa or Rockledge.

Friday, October 23: Three Events, One Great Night

Friday night is stacked, so a little planning goes a long way.

Space Coast Mom Life Trunk or Treat (4:00 PM to 8:00 PM)

You already know about this one. Wickham Park, free with Eventbrite registration, and so much to do. If you only pick one event this season, I hope it is this one.

Boo Bash at The Avenue Viera (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM)

Located at 2261 Town Center Ave, Viera, FL 32940. This is the shopping center’s annual Halloween celebration, with trick-or-treating through participating retailers, live family entertainment, costume contests, and photo spots around the central park area. Free.

Halloween Movie in the Park: Wicked (7:00 PM to 9:00 PM)

Brevard Parks and Recreation is screening Wicked (rated PG) at 1899 S Courtenay Pkwy, Merritt Island, FL 32952. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks. It is free, and it makes a sweet date night with the kids.

Saturday, October 24: The Biggest Day of the Season

Five events on one Saturday. This is the day to pick your favorites and go.

  • Downtown Melbourne Trick-or-Treat (11:00 AM to 2:00 PM): Hosted by Melbourne Main Street in Historic Downtown Melbourne, around E New Haven Ave and nearby streets. Look for the orange “Treat Stop” signs in business windows. Free.

  • Pat Fischer Nissan Trunk-or-Treat (11:00 AM to 2:00 PM): At 1128 S Hopkins Ave, Titusville. A daytime trunk-or-treat with treats and family activities in the dealership lot. Free.

  • Melbourne Church of Christ Trunk-or-Treat (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM): At 810 Hollywood Blvd, Melbourne. Decorated trunks, inflatables, family games, popcorn, and crafts. Free.

  • Suntree United Methodist Church Trunk-or-Treat (5:30 PM to 7:30 PM): At 7400 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne. Decorated trunks, candy, and kid-friendly entertainment. Free.

  • North Brevard Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat (6:00 PM to 9:00 PM): At Sand Point Park, 101 N Washington Ave, Titusville. Hosted by Brevard County Parks and Recreation with a trunk-or-treat, games, and seasonal activities. Free.

Boo at the Zoo is also running that day from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so a zoo morning followed by an evening trunk-or-treat is a very doable plan.

Sunday, October 25 to Wednesday, October 28: Weeknight and Sunday Options

Do not worry if your weekend is already full. There are good options to fit around school and work.

  • Social House Trunk-or-Treat, Sunday, October 25, 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM: At 5125 US-1, Rockledge. An all-ages afternoon with decorated trunks, local vendors, and trick-or-treating. Free.

  • Riverside Presbyterian Church Trunk-or-Treat, Monday, October 26, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM: At 3400 N Atlantic Ave, Cocoa Beach. A coastal trunk-or-treat on the barrier island. Free.

  • Satellite Beach United Methodist Church Trunk-or-Treat, Wednesday, October 28, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: At 450 Lee Ave, Satellite Beach. Train rides, carnival games, Kona Ice, decorated trunks, and candy. Free.

Friday, October 30: Melbourne Square Mall Candy Crawl

This is the one I tell every mom about on a hot Florida evening. The Candy Crawl runs from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Melbourne Square Mall, 1700 W New Haven Ave, Melbourne, FL 32904. Kids go store to store collecting candy from participating retailers, all inside the air conditioning. No sweaty costumes, no rain worries. It is free.

Halloween Day, Saturday, October 31

Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, which means you can make a whole day of it. Here is what is going on.

  • Melbourne Riverview Park Trick-or-Treat Market (10:00 AM to 2:00 PM): At 2400 Riverview Dr, Melbourne. Local vendors, trick-or-treating, open green space, and a big playground. Free.

  • City of Cocoa Fall Festival (3:00 PM to 7:00 PM): At Cocoa Riverfront Park, 401 Riverfront Blvd, Cocoa. A waterfront festival with kids’ activities, costume contests, entertainment, and trick-or-treating along the Indian River Lagoon. Entry is $5, or you can bring 5 non-perishable food items for the city’s annual food drive.

  • Palm Bay Recreation Fall Fest (5:00 PM to 9:00 PM): At Fred Poppe Regional Park, 1951 Malabar Rd NW, Palm Bay. Inflatables, games, trunk-or-treating, food trucks, and family entertainment. Free.

  • Boo at the Zoo (10:00 AM to 3:00 PM): One last day of the zoo’s Halloween weekends.

The Cocoa and Palm Bay festivals overlap from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, so you will need to choose one for prime trick-or-treating time. If you live in south Brevard, Palm Bay is likely your easiest pick. Central and north families may prefer the Cocoa waterfront.

Best Events for Your Family’s Needs

Best for Toddlers and Little Ones

Our Trunk or Treat has a dedicated toddler activity zone from Wee Warriors. Daytime events like Downtown Melbourne, Pat Fischer Nissan, and the Riverview Park market also work well for early bedtimes and nap schedules.

Best Rainy Day or Hot Evening Option

The Melbourne Square Mall Candy Crawl on October 30 keeps everyone cool and dry.

Best Sensory-Friendly Events

Boo at the Zoo: Sensory Night on October 17 is built for families who need a calmer setting. The Parker Foundation Fall Expo earlier that same day is an inclusive morning event as well.

Best for Dinner Without Cooking

Surfside Community Fellowship offers free hot dogs, snacks, and drinks. Food trucks will be at our Trunk or Treat and at Palm Bay Fall Fest.

Best Way to Give Back

Bring non-perishable food to our Trunk or Treat for the Space Coast Brigade of Hope, or bring 5 items to the City of Cocoa Fall Festival and skip the $5 entry fee.

Best for Older Kids

The ninja warrior course at our event, the Wicked movie night, and the festival games at North Brevard and Palm Bay keep bigger kids busy.

My Trunk-or-Treat Survival Tips

I have been to more of these than I can count. A few things have saved me over the years.

  1. Register early. If an event asks for Eventbrite registration, do it the day you read about it. Do not wait.
  2. Bring a wagon. Buckets get heavy, and little legs get tired. A wagon doubles as a snack station.
  3. Pack water. October in Florida can still be warm. Cold water bottles are a lifesaver.
  4. Pick comfortable costumes. If your child is going to be in it for two hours, think breathable fabric and shoes that actually fit.
  5. Carry cash. Some events have extras like face painting tips, snacks, or raffles. Small bills help.
  6. Plan your parking. Church parking lots and park lots fill up fast. Arriving 15 minutes early makes everything calmer.
  7. Set a candy plan. Decide ahead of time how much candy gets eaten that night. It saves you from a bedtime battle.
  8. Check for allergies. If your child has a food allergy, read labels carefully and keep their medicine with you.
  9. Confirm before you go. Events can change because of weather or other updates. A quick check of the host’s website or social page the day of is worth the minute.
