Let’s get into everything you need to know about the biggest Space Coast Mom Life event of the year.
A Full Circle Moment: Why Wickham Park Means So Much to Our SCML Family
I have to take a minute to talk about why this location is so special to me and to so many of you.
Seven years ago, the very first Space Coast Mom Life Trunk or Treat was not the massive festival we throw today. It started small. Really small. A handful of trunks, a few candy buckets, and a group of moms gathered together in the playground parking lot of Wickham Park, just hoping local families would show up.
You showed up.
Every single year since then, our little Halloween gathering has grown. We moved locations as our numbers grew, added more vendors, more trucks, more entertainment, and more magic each time. And now, seven years later, we get to bring this event full circle. We are coming home to Wickham Park, except this time we are filling up so much more than a parking lot.
This is not just a Halloween party. This is a celebration of our Brevard County mom community and everything we have built together, one candy bucket at a time.
What to Expect at This Year’s Trunk or Treat
We planned this event with every single age group in mind, from your littlest pumpkin to your too-cool-for-Halloween tween. Here is everything happening on October 23.
Trunk or Treating With Local Vendors
Our signature trunk or treat lineup is back and better than ever. Local Brevard County businesses and community vendors will be decking out their trunks in full Halloween spirit, handing out candy and treats as families make their way through the lot. This is always one of our most loved parts of the night, and the creativity our vendors bring gets more impressive every single year.

Bounce Houses and Inflatables
Bring your energetic little ones ready to bounce because we will have inflatables provided by Bounce Around Brevard set up throughout the event. This is a great way to let the kids burn off some Halloween candy energy before you even get home.
Food Trucks
Halloween fun works up an appetite. We will have food trucks on site so you can grab dinner and treats without having to leave the party or worry about cooking once you get home.
Face Painting
Our face painters from Bounce Around Brevard will be on site turning little cheeks into pumpkins, butterflies, superheroes, and everything in between.
Local Firetruck Experience
Kids who love big trucks are going to lose their minds over this one. We are bringing in a touch-a-truck experience with a local firetruck for kids to explore up close. This is such a fun, hands-on activity for the truck-loving kiddos in your life.
Live DJ and Entertainment
DJ Mark with Space Coast Elite Entertainment will be keeping the energy high all night long, along with entertainment to keep the whole family dancing, laughing, and having a blast from start to finish.
Raffles
Be sure to check out all the awesome raffles under the large pavilion. This year, proceeds from our raffle will go directly to the Brevard County Foster and Adoptive Parent Association, so every ticket you buy is also giving back to local foster and adoptive families in our community.
Costume Contest
This is always a highlight of the night. Melbourne Kids Village is sponsoring our costume contest this year! The contest will be broken into age divisions so every kiddo has a fair shot to show off their look, including a group costume category for families or friend groups who love to coordinate.
Costume contest divisions:
- Ages 0 to 2
- Ages 3 to 5
- Ages 6 to 9
- Ages 10 and up
- Group costume
If your family has been working on a costume all year, this is your moment to shine.
Ninja Warrior Course by Lil Ninjas With Coach Reed
Big kids ready to burn some energy will love this one. Lil Ninjas is bringing out a full ninja warrior obstacle course with Coach Reed leading the way. This is such a fun addition for kids who want to climb, jump, and test their skills before heading back out for more candy.
Toddler Activity Zone by Wee Warriors
Our littlest trick-or-treaters get their own dedicated space this year thanks to Wee Warriors. This toddler-friendly zone is built just for your babies and little ones who need activities sized down to their speed.
New This Year: A Special Partnership With Brevard County Parks and Recreation
We are so excited to announce something brand new for our 7th annual celebration. This year, Space Coast Mom Life is teaming up with Brevard County Parks and Recreation for their Movies in the Park series, specifically their Kidtoberfest event.
As part of this partnership, families will get to enjoy a free outdoor screening of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas right there at Wickham Park. Picture it, blankets on the grass, the Florida evening air, and a classic Halloween movie playing under the stars after a full evening of trunk-or-treating.
This partnership is exactly the kind of thing I love about our Brevard County community. Local organizations are coming together to give families a bigger, better experience, completely free of charge.
How Much Does It Cost?
This is one of my favorite things to say every single year. The Space Coast Mom Life Trunk or Treat is 100% FREE to attend!
There is no admission fee, no ticket cost, nothing. Our incredible sponsors and vendors make it possible for us to bring this event to our community completely free every single year, and we are beyond grateful for their support.
Important: You Must Register for a Free Ticket
Even though the event is free, this part is not optional. Every family needs to grab a free ticket through Eventbrite before the event.
Reserve your free tickets here
Here is why this matters so much. When you register, it helps us give our vendors an accurate headcount so they know how much candy and how many supplies to bring for trick or treaters. Without that information, vendors are left guessing, and that means some kiddos could miss out on treats.
A few quick things to keep in mind:
- Tickets are free, but registration is required
- Candy, activities, and parking are first-come, first-served
- This event draws a large crowd every year, so plan to arrive early
- Carpooling is highly encouraged since parking fills up fast
Trust me on this one, mama. Grab your free tickets now so you are not scrambling the week of the event.
Bring a Non-Perishable Food Item for the Space Coast Brigade of Hope
This year we are asking our Space Coast Mom Life families to help us give back while we celebrate. We will be collecting non-perishable food donations at the event to support the Space Coast Brigade of Hope. If you are able, please bring a canned good or non-perishable item to drop off when you arrive. It is such a simple way to help local families in our own community while your kids are out trick-or-treating.
Parking and What to Bring
Since this event brings out a huge turnout every year, I always recommend carpooling with another mom friend or neighbor if you can. Wickham Park is a big space, but parking can fill up quickly once the sun starts going down and families start arriving for trick-or-treating.
A few things I suggest packing for the night:
- A trick-or-treat bucket or bag for each kiddo
- A stroller or wagon if you have littles who tire out fast
- Comfortable shoes, you will be walking a lot
- A light jacket for once the sun goes down
- A blanket or chairs if you plan to stay for the movie screening
- Cash or card for the food trucks
- A non-perishable food item to donate to the Space Coast Brigade of Hope
- A fully charged phone for all those costume photos
Meet Our Incredible Sponsors
None of this would be possible without the local businesses who believe in what we are building here on the Space Coast. Please take a moment to check out and support the sponsors who help make this free event happen every single year.

Why This Event Matters to Our Community
Every year I get messages from moms telling me how much this event means to their family. For some, it is the one Halloween activity they know will be safe, welcoming, and easy on the wallet. For others, it is a chance to connect with other Brevard County parents and finally put faces to names from our online community.
That is really what Space Coast Mom Life has always been about. We are not just an event page or a Facebook group. We are moms supporting moms, showing up for each other, and building something real here on the Space Coast, one gathering at a time.
Watching this event grow from a small parking lot meetup to a full evening festival with food trucks, live entertainment, a movie screening, and hundreds of local families is honestly one of the proudest things I get to be part of. I cannot wait to see you all there this year.
